Rachele is a Flag State & Maritime Administration Expert with more than 24 years of experience across the international shipping and yachting sectors.
After beginning her career at sea as a Deck Officer, Rachele obtained a degree in Corporate Law with a specialisation in Maritime Law from the University of Genoa before holding senior positions within shipping companies, ship management organisations and international Flag Administrations.
She has particular expertise in Flag State administration, maritime regulatory compliance, Port State Control, the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), seafarer employment agreements and maritime employment law, the ISM and ISPS Codes, marine casualty investigations, and Recognised Organization oversight.
She regularly advises shipowners, ship managers, yacht owners, insurers, P&I Clubs and maritime administrations on regulatory, operational and administrative matters affecting commercial vessels and yachts.
Rachele regularly participates in international initiatives involving the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), and also acts as auditor, inspector, lecturer and speaker on maritime regulatory and compliance matters. Rachele collaborates with Camera & Partners on selected Flag State, maritime administration, maritime employment law and regulatory compliance matters.
