Guglielmo is an Italian lawyer specialising in marine insurance, marine casualties and complex shipping disputes.
He qualified in 2000 following professional training in Italy and London at an international law firm and subsequently completed an LL.M. in Maritime Law at University College London after gaining experience within a leading Italian shipping practice.
Throughout his career, Guglielmo has practised exclusively in the maritime sector, advising insurers, reinsurers, brokers, shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs and maritime operators on marine casualties, insurance and reinsurance coverage, charterparty and commercial disputes, yacht claims and complex cross-border matters.
He regularly assists clients in the management of major casualties from the initial emergency response through to dispute resolution, combining legal analysis with a practical understanding of the commercial and insurance implications of maritime incidents.
Guglielmo is a frequent author on maritime law topics and contributes to specialist industry publications. He holds an Advanced Certificate in Managing Sanctions Risk issued by the International Compliance Association (ICA) and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
